In esposizione ad Ischia le mie immagini, che illustrano il progetto “Finestre sul futuro” finanziato dalla National Geographic Society al Centro Villa Dohrn-Ecologia del Benthos di Ischia della Stazione Zoologica di Napoli, in collaborazione con la Lega Navale Italiana sezione isola d’Ischia. Il progetto illustra 4 nuovi sistemi di emissioni di CO2 lungo la costa dell’isola d’Ischia e la loro valenza come laboratori naturali per lo studio degli effetti del cambiamento climatico futuro dei nostri mari sugli organismi del benthos. Sede Lega Navale Italiana, Palazzo D’Ambra, Ischia Porto, 13 Dicembre 2016 – 7 Gennaio 2017. Apertura: lunedì, mercoledì, venerdì: mattina 11.00-13.00 da lunedì a venerdì: pomeriggio 17.00-20.00

ADEX 2016

Pasquale Vassallo Judge and Relator of ADEX 2016 ADEX is the longest running and the largest dive expo in Asia celebrating its 22nd year in 2017. A must-attend event for anyone interested or involved in the world of diving, the event has seen a continuous increase in visitors over the past few years, with ADEX 2016 attracting a total of 57,793 visitors over three days! Taking place from April 7 – 9, ADEX 2017 proudly presents world-renowned marine life artists, conservationists and photographers to speak about their passion and work towards marine life. It is organized by Underwater360 (UW360), and is an event being endorsed by major organizations in the industry such as DEMA (USA), the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Singapore Underwater Federation (SUF). There is no need to vote for the ADEX dedication for 2017. Instead of a marine creature, ADEX will be dedicated entirely to Climate Change and the impact it is having, and will have, on our oceans.     Photographer and ocean researcher Pasquale Vassallo was born in the coastal city of Naples in 1970. He grew up with an adoration for the sea, spending his youth searching for octopuses and other marine creatures on single breaths of air, before developing a passion to explore the underwater world. He has since amassed an impressive trophy cabinet of awards including Best of Show at LAUPS and the Plongeur D’or of Marsiglia. Mission Earth 2016 – The sea: the blue lung of the world

Univerde per la mostra mondiale Mission Earth 2016 – The sea: the blue lung of the world sceglie uno scatto di Pasquale Vassallo L’anteprima mondiale della mostra: “Mission Earth 2016 – The sea: the blue lung of the world” sarà inaugurata a New York il 31 maggio 2016 alle ore 18:00 (locali) al Palazzo delle Nazioni Unite in collaborazione con Marevivo e la Rappresentanza Permanente d’Italia all’ONU. In partnership con Meridiana Banca Popolare di Milano Solania e Rossopomodoro. In esposizione le foto più belle del nostro mare, selezionate tra quelle candidate ad Obiettivo Terra, il concorso fotografico sui parchi e le bellezze della natura italiani. Oltre alla foto vincitrice, alla mostra saranno esposti altri bellissimi scatti delle nostre aree marine protette. L’anno scorso la mostra aveva come soggetto i parchi regionali e nazionali, polmoni verdi del Pianeta, quest’anno invece le foto rappresenteranno  il mare e le coste, polmoni blu del Pianeta. L’appuntamento è il 31 Maggio in South End of the Conference Building, the United Nations (Access at 1st Avenue and 46 Street).
